Useful Tips for Traveling With Kids
Kids love an adventure and a break from routine and the holiday time can be a great time to get your kits involved in the family vacation plans!
There are many aspects to the family holiday that your kids will just love and be good at, from taking the family photos and creating a treasured album, writing a travel diary, researching places to visit and day trips.
Actually you may find that engaging your kids in your travel plans is not just fun – they too can be really helpful!
Below are a few useful Tips for Traveling with Kids:
Let Your Child Take The Photos
What a great way to help your kid be interested, observe and learn new places and experiences.
Disposable or single use cameras are great – they are light, easy to use, and there is no stress when they are dropped. Trust us - your kid will absolutely love the responsibility and the freedom of taking their own photos.
What photo mama?
There is no harm in a little suggestion or too. Help your children find particular spots or opportunity shots. Try and provide inspiration to get started - a theme, story, adventure to tell their friends about when they get home. However don’t make choices for them – let them record the world as they see it!
So why not introduce your children to photography on your next family holiday and not only will you get them involved in the family outing you will open up a new world for them to explore.
Top tip: Check that they keep their fingers away from the lens!
Are We There Yet?
Airport delays, traffic, bad weather and dodgy directions are just four reasons for you to carry an Emergency Diversion Bag (EDB) with you at all times this summer as you travel with your kiddies on you family holidays or day trips.
Could be as useful as a car jack to keep in the car! It not a new idea but it is a great book for long car trips (or even just to play at home). Activities include mini-mysteries, mazes, crossword puzzles, where to find this, coloring pages, car bingo and many, many other fun activities. Rand Mcnally is a great activity book and it may just keep back seat riders quiet for long stretches of your journey. Bon Voyage!
